Dilwara Jain Temples are not classical Vaishnava sites of pilgrimage, but they are really worth to see. In its beautiful carvings you can find also scenes from Narasimha's and Krishna's pastimes.

	There are five magnificent Jain Temples in Dilwara. Adinatha (Vimala Vasahi) and Neminatha (Luna Vasahi) are most notable ones.
	Adinatha Temple was built in 11-th century and it is said to have cost 180 million rupees. It is made from white marble and its carvings are extremely intricate and beautiful.
	The first Jain tirthankara Adinatha is worshiped there. The bronze figure of Adinatha has gem necklace and eyes made from precious jewels.
	It is said that it took 1500 sculptures and 1200 workers 14 years to complete.
	Several full-time carvers are employed to maintain and restore the temples.
	Adinatha Temple was built in 1031 by Vimal Shah, a minister of the Solanki king Bhima I.
	Another temple is dedicated to 22nd tirthankara Neminatha. It was built in 1231.

	Trevor's Tank is about 50 km from the Jain temples.
	You should be careful near the lake, because crocodiles sometimes lie around its banks.
